Blue Slate Heritage Turkeys Almost sold out , get one today for your Thanksgiving day celebration! Blue Slate Turkeys are featured on Slow Foods Ark of Taste---for those of you not familiar with this list of specialty foods please follow the link below; http://www.slowfoodusa.org/index.php/programs/details/ark_of_taste/ Our turkeys weigh between 9-13.5 lbs. and are priced at $11 lbs. they were processed on Oct. 20th 2008 and come fresh frozen in vacumm sealed bags. Our turkeys were raised on pasture and supplemented with certified organic grain. These turkeys were raised the slow way and are super tastey. Please contact us via email to arrange pick up at our farm.

In Addition
Bumblebeeacres is a lovely little farmette, producing naturally tasty
and healthy Vegetables and Fruit.
We use no chemical pesticides and no commercial fertilizers.
We are also a Fiber Farm harvesting luxurious fiber from our English Angora Rabbits, Llamas, Alpacas, Shetland Sheep and Angora Goats.
The harvested wool is used in fiber arts and crafts.
Wool/fleeces are available for purchase upon request.
Pasture ranged, roaster chickens,heritage turkeys and fresh eggs are available for sale from our farm or thru our CSA program

Our farm is NOT open to the public. Appointments required please!

Farmer's Market.
Hours are 8am-1:00pm on Tuesdays and Saturdays,
2008 Market season runs from May thru the end of October 2008

~Our Farm is Green~
We only use natural farming techniques, NO pesticides, NO commercial ferilizers
We reuse/recycle pots and boxes
We plant new trees and shrubs annually
Use our own compost to build soil fertility and use cover crops to control erosion of our soil
We incorporate flowers & companion plantings into our vegetable beds
to attract beneficial insects, birds and toads (yes, toads!)
Do extensive crop rotations to help keep soil at it's best and keep tilling to a minimum
Utilize rainwater as extensively as possible
Using only drip irrigation when our rainwater supply is not enough
We continue to add Green alternatives whenever & wherever possible
